Vision-Aided Collaborative Robot Cell

Led a team building a teaching kit for a collaborative robot cell, integrating Omron’s GUI with ROS so the robot could be controlled wirelessly rather than from the panel beside it. Most of the work was in the link rather than the endpoints: two systems that did not share a protocol had to exchange commands and state reliably enough that a student could depend on the rig — a different problem from making either side work on its own. Won the SP Bronze Project Award in 2022.
